Life Epitome

?There?s an open gate at the end of the road, Through which each must go alone, And there in a light we cannot see Our Father claims his own; Beyond the gate your loved one finds happiness and rest, And there is comfort in the thought that a loving God knows best.?

Ada Clersia Quaite was born to the late Andrew Valdosta and Gertrude Armstead on January 25, 1939 in Dallas, Texas.  She attended and was a graduate of Pierce High School in Dallas, Texas and was a proud member of the class of 1958.   Ada worked passionately catering events in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.  She loved working with various caterers as cooking was her ultimate passion. She also worked in a domestic capacity for over 50 years.

Ada accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church, Lancaster, TX.  Ada was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church, for most of her entire life.  She served in various positions in the church and was always willing to do more.  As many would attest, she served as the youth Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir, served on the usher board and was also the church clerk.  Ada also served in the Lancaster Federated choir as well as the usher board.

Ada married Herbert Quaite and to this union one son Donald (Don) W. Quaite, Sr. was born. She was also the very proud grandmother of Donna and Donald, Jr. (DJ) Quaite.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Gertrude Armstead and brothers Billie E. and Willie Fred Armstead.

Ada leaves to cherish her memories, one son Don and wife, Chandra, two grandchildren Donna and Donald (DJ). She also leaves brothers, Willie Andrew (wife Jessie), Michael (wife Helen), and Tyrone, one sister Mary Jo Allen. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will also celebrate her life in memory.
