2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord.
In Heaven, the Book of Life was open October 10, 1932 and then close and Addie Mae
Hubbard-House name was called to be present with the Lord November 8, 2014.
Addie Mae was the first born of ten children to the late Azzie Hubbard and Bonnie B
Davis. She was a faithful servant of the Lord at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church
in Waskom Texas from early childhood until young adult. Later she attended Mt Calvary
Baptist Church in Dallas Texas.
She was born on the Family Farm where she would rise early in the morning to help work
the fields and later walk miles to school. She was educated in Waskom Independent
Schools District and later attended Bishop College in Marshall Texas.
In 1953 she moved to Dallas to work at the Alpohfus Hotel in Downtown Dallas where
met the late Mr. Cecil House and they were married October 7, 1953 and to this Union
five children were born. Later in 1966 Mr. Melvin Moore and one son was born to this
union.
The Scriptures that best described Addie life is Matthew 25:35-41 for I was an hungred,
and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty. and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took
me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye
came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an
hungred, and fed thee: or thirsty, and gave thee drink? And the King shall answer and say
unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of
these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
All the Children in the neighborhood knew Mrs. House worked hard and would do what
she could to help. Dinner was served to whosoever would come after church services
every Sunday and all holidays until her illness prevented her from doing so.
In addition to her Parents, preceding Addie in eternal rest were her siblings and one son,
Lloyd, Clyde, Nanetta, Betty, Ruthie, Patsy and her son Cecil Ray.
Those left to cherish her memory are her Children, Wanell, Debra, Clifford, Lisa and
Darren all of Dallas Texas.
Her two Sister Mildred Hubbard-Brown of Dallas Texas and Patricia Hubbard-Moore of
Houston Texas and one brother Montgomery Hubbard of Dallas Texas.
Her joy were her grandchildren Kendra, Menshay, Uneeda, Keenan, Willisa and Brandon.
And a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and
her best friends Mrs. Glynn Holiday and Mrs. Bryant.
