Adriauna Jones, affectionately known as A.J. was
born July 24, 1997, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to
Terry and Stephanie Jones.
Adriaunna loved the Lord and professed her faith in
God at an early age.
Most of her early education was in Little Rock:
blessing the halls of Steven’s Elementary, Dunbar Junior
High and Parkview High School. She later transitioned
to the great DeSoto U where she put everyone in “Awe.”
Being a senior meant everything to her. She exemplified
the true meaning of strength by not ever complaining
about her situation. A.J. had a passion for theater and
received a Thespian award. She often counseled other
teens and enjoyed giving to others.
A.J.’s future plans were to graduate from DeSoto,
drive a car, and attend Oklahoma University and major
theater. A.J.’s theme was “It will be alright,” and carried
that theme in her everyday life.
A.J. is survived by her parents, Terry D. Jones and
Stephanie Jones-Bates; maternal grandparents, Danny
Bates and Marilyn Bates; paternal grandparents,
Earnest and Edith Jones; uncles, Shawn Jones (Nikki)
and Daniel Bates (Kym); aunt, Danyaih Bates;
“sisters”, Annastacia Hampton and Sadie Jones;
“brothers”, Edwin Hampton and Brandon Dixon; best
friends, Jada Blue-Mosby, Tre Johnson, Ariel Coleman,
Maria Neal and Maddison Beasley.
Special shout outs to aunts, Glenda Johnson,
Terissa Hampton, Janeth Lowe, Lisa Wiltz and
