Mr. Allen Slaughter

Mr. Allen Wayne Slaughter was born to the union of Charlie Lou Slaughter and George Weaver
on September 24, 1957.
He attended Rusk Junior High and North Dallas High School. He received two Associate Degrees
from Cedar Valley College, 2008 and 2009 in which he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. He
received his Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree from the University of North Texas at
Dallas in December, 2010.
He was employed at Frito Lay, Inc. for over 25 years until his retirement.
He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He was ordained as a minister of the Gospel on
September 28, 1990.
He was an active member of Metro Fellowship Church where he served as Elder and Minister of
the Marriage Ministry along with his wife. He was also active in the Men's Ministry.
He married Patty Wooley on July 12, 1980. To this union, two children were born, Alicia and
Joseph.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Wife of 34 years, Patty Slaughter; Daughter, Alicia Slaughter;
Son, Joseph Slaughter; Uncle, C.L. Slaughter, Las Vegas, Nevada; Niece, Shylwanda Brooks-
Simmons; Sisters-in-Law, Eva Nell Weems, Margaret Brown, and Velma Wooley; Brothers-in-
Law, Don Brown, Sr. and Joe Fleming and a host of other relatives and friends.
