Alvin Hughes was born July 11, 1943 in Hubbard, Texas to the parentage of J. D. Hughes and Willie Caldwell.
Alvin attended school at D.I.S.D. South Oak Cliff High School. He was employed at Cedar Crest Golf Course as a caddy, where he was passionate about the game of golf. For many years, Alvin also trained dogs and was excellent at it.
Alvin is preceded in death by both parents; stepfather, J.D. Caldwell and sister, Carl Lee White.
Alvin leaves behind to cherish his precious memory: Three children: sons, Barry Hughes and Kenneth Hughes; daughter, Alexia Moore; grandchildren, Eric Keyshawn Moore, Kamorra Carter, Kelis Carter; siblings, Thelma Brooks, Sammy Caldwell, Charlie Caldwell, Betty Caldwell and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
