Andrea Lynette Reed Johnson was born November 26, 1952; to the union of Leon Reed Sr. and Sarah Creer Reed in Dallas, Texas. She was called from labor to rest on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
Andrea received her education in the Dallas Independent School District, graduating from L.G. Pinkston High School. She relocated to Los Angles, California, after graduating.
She accepted Christ at an early age and continued to serve Him. She had a strong passion for the well-being of children and elders, and worked as a licensed foster parent for over forty years. She later worked as a Home Health Care provider until her demise.
Andrea was a great leader. She knew how to take projects and run with them. While serving as Youth Director at New Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church, the youth successfully exceeded the fundraising goals each year. Her motto was "Give it all you've got." She later relocated to Palmdale and united with House of Deliverance and remained faithful until death.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Reed Sr., mother, Sarah Reed-Davis; stepfather, Charles Davis; sister, Marian Reed; and two brothers, Raymond and Douglas Reed.f
She leaves to cherish her memories; stepmother, Irma Jean Reed; two daughters, Kea Bonner Chambers (Calvin) and Nashika Johnson; and four sons, Deonte' Johnson, Bennie Johnson, Charlston Johnson Jr., and Detroit Johnson all of Los Angeles, California; eight brothers: Leon Reed Jr., Robert Davis, Greg Davis, Victor Davis (Ava), Steven Ray, Arnold Lane, Quincy Davis (Kay Letha) and Charles Davis Jr. (Janet); four sisters: Carla Reed Clark (Otha), Stephanie Reed-Taylor (Paris), Sandra Reed-Riley, and Dorothy Majies; seven grandchildren, Lamar, Kasen, Destiny, Mi'King, Leomunique, Jeremiah and Ziona; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
