Anthony Lee Lowery, 79, passed away at his home on Friday, March 5, 2021. He was born in Dallas, TX, December 13, 1941 son of the late Euette Lowery and Mavinee White Lowery.
Anthony received his early childhood education in Dallas Public Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School where he played basketball. He later attended North Texas State University in Denton (UNT) and went on to serve our country in the United States Army. His dedication to service led him to a career in hospitality, sales and real estate.
As a child, Anthony was raised as a member of Good Street Baptist Church in Dallas. His Christianity and strong faith were instrumental to his calling to preach and minister. His dedication to Christ was evident and reflected in the many lives that he encountered, counseled and touched.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest (Junior) Lowery.
He leaves to mourn his sons, Anthony Jemahld Lowery and Justin (Bonnie) Lowery; his daughter Anissa (Walter) Totten; two brothers, Dwight C. Lowery of Plano, TX and Christopher White of Dallas, TX. Five grandchildren, Olivia, Walter III, and Charlotte Totten, Justine Germain, and Campbell Lowery; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and other loving friends.
Anthony’s gentle and warm spirit will surely be missed.
