Bennie Less Kirven, born Joe Lee Haddock was born December 10, 1934. She married Will Kirven March 10, 1972.
Bennie graduated from Hooks Colored High School in 1952. She retired from Christian Care Retirement Home.
She loved God, fishing, cooking, playing basketball, her husband and all her kids and extended kids just the same, as she would always say.
Bennie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Susie Compton Haddock and Charlie Haddock, Sr.; sister, Dessie Mae Bennett; sons, Arthur Ray Franklin and wife Patricia Hudson, Bennie Franklin; sister-in-law, Dessie Mae Jones Haddock.
Bennie leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Will Kirven; children, Clarence Haddock, Sr., Alice Henderson, Charlie Franklin, Travis Franklin; brothers, Charlie Haddock, Jr., Archie Johnson, Johnny B. Johnson, Bobby Joe Johnson; sisters, Mary Helen Johnson and Neice Johnson; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She started walking at 7 months old and has been strutting every since. Now she?s on the ?Ultimate Strut?
