Bernice Mckinney Sr.

August 25, 1942 — December 5, 2016

Bernice M. McKinney was born August 25, 1942 to Ruby and Jack McKinney in Rosser Texas. He confessed Jesus Christ as his Savior early in life and united with Mount Olive Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until he moved to Dallas.
He was married to Carolyn A. McKinney on December 8, 1962.  He is survived by (4) children: Bernice M. McKinney Jr (BJ), Freida L. Holden, Vincent McKinney and Kimberly McKinney.

After Moving to Dallas he worked for Texas Meat Packing and Air Borne Express until his retirement in 2004. In 2006 he was inducted into the Pyle H.S. Sports Hall of Fame –he was awesome fullback. He was a HUGE Dallas Cowboy fan as well enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading,(James Patterson) fast cars, and Cowboy Westerns.
Bernice will be forever cherished in memory by his children, BJ, Freida, Vincent, Kimberly and wife, Carolyn; adopted Nephews Jeffery and Kevin, his brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Mary McKinney; his sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Lindsey Jones. He also leave to his cherish memory (5) grandsons, Richard, Bryan, Nicholas, Justin, and Nathan and (2) granddaughters, Sherrie and Ariel. He will also be missed by several generations of nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends
