Ms. Manning was born October 30, 1947 to the late James Edward Shaw and Archie Lee Manning. She attended L.G. Pinkston High school in Dallas, TX and went to Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado. She worked for Gerber Garment Technology in Richardson, Texas for 16 years before retiring.
Baptized at an early age, Bettie was a faithful member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church were she was an active member in the choir until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Jackie Manning, David Earl Wade, and Tommy Frank Manning.
She is survived by her brother, Arthur Johnson and sister Archie Mae Shaw; 1 daughter: Andrea Aikens, 3 sons: Antonio Manning, Roderick Manning and Archie Manning, 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, cousins; and special friends.
