Brian Gates

Brian was born February 27, 1984 to Paul Conner and Juanita L. Gates in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of L. G. Pinkston High School in Dallas, Texas and began working in the Dallas area immediately after high school. He was a noted hard worker who was known for pitching in wherever he could to assist and improve the outcome of any task. Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He was known as a formidable joker, basketball player, and dominoes enthusiast who provided lots of laughter and smiles to everyone he could.

Brian was a great aide to the family elders who often called upon him. He was a nurturer to his nieces and nephews and a dedicated surrogate father to Dominique Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adell Conner and Luella White and Billy and Annie L. Gates; uncles, Thomas Conner and Michael Sims.

Brian leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, father, Paul Conner; mother, Juanita L. Gates (Don); daughter, Brianna Gates; brother, Brandon Ford; sisters, LaKeisha Gates, Myeisha Gates, Atisha Holland; his beloved, Lasha Briscoe (children); four aunts, Lisa Gates (Maurice), Elizabeth Gates, Sharon Weatherspoon (Christopher), Elizabeth Bell (Gary); two great aunts, Willie Mae Hardeman and Alene Davis; guardian brothers, Marco Willoughby and Joe Bayson; guardian aunts, Sophia Graham and Qiana Williams and a host of family and friends.
