On the bright and blessed day of October 6, 1950, in Jasper, Texas, Cammie LUCILLE Hadnot, the ninth child of eleven children was born to loving parents of Jack and Myrtle Hadnot. Cammie accepted Christ at a very young age while attending Armstrong Memorial AME Church. She attended school in Jasper Independent School District, graduating from Jasper High Class of 1969. Cammie went on to further her education at Prairie View A&M University to major in Nursing. While attending PVAMU she met her first husband George Standley Jr. (SweetPea). SweetPea and Cammie vowed to love each other August 25,1973; to this loving union four wonderful children were born.
Cammie completed her college education at Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelors of Arts and Science in May 2008 after ensuring that her children were all grown. Cammie work several jobs caring for others as a day care worker. She also work in the Insurance Industry at Blue Cross Blue Shield, as a Nursing Assistant, as an Assistant Girl Scout Troop Leader in Troop #1906, and as a Clinic Attendant for DISD. After moving to Dallas, Cammie attend New Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Dr. R.E. Price. Cammie is now reunitedin Heaven with her parents, Jack and Myrtle Hadnot; mother and father-in-law, George and Erma Standley Sr.; brothers, Thomas Hadnot; sister Mary Bronson; brother in-law, Charles Standley; best friend, Mary Elchols; grandchildren, Tristen and Trista; granddaughter, Bailey Nichelle; and grandson, Jaxson Dyson.
Cammie leave to cherish her memory hor devoted husband of 42 years, George Standley Jr. (SweetPea); the daughters, Catina Wilson (Sean), Kimberly Hayes (James Jr.), and Georgette Standley; two sons, George Standley III and Julian Culton (MayMaire); her special daughter- a Shih Tzu (Ginger); eight grandchildren, Jazmyn Hayes, Xavier Hayes, Camren Standley, Madyson Hayes, Gavin Booker, Janiah Dyson, Jace Wilson, and Ethan Standley; sister and brothers, BettyFronttenot, Mae Guillary, Bobby Scott, Marie Debine, Patsy Hadnot, George Henry, and Fred (Linda) Hadnot; sister and brothers-in-law, Sadie Pouncey, Mary Gibson (Willie), Vira Brown (Neal), Hazel Arnic (Garlon), Mildridge Dyer, Cynthia McKibbins (Isaiah), Dortha Hollis (James), Rev.
