Carolyn Roy

Carolyn Henrietta Roy was born to Ernestine Estella Frazier and Beck Betham on February 26 1948 in Honey Grove Texas, where she attended school until the 6th grade. She moved to Dallas Texas and was married to Robert Terry Roy. She was a homemaker and work in housekeeping for over 15 years with Holiday Inn. While raising her four children. She took on the guardianship and raised two of her Nephews; Corey Thomas, Marcus Thomas, she instilled a sense of pride, responsibility and integrity in them and gave them the opportunity of being successful young men. Afterwards she took in and raised Leroy Lightsey Jr from infancy until his teen years. Carolyn Roy was a asset and leader for our family. Being that she was the youngest sister she bonded with both her sisters and brother and her nephews and nieces, and was considered as the favorite aunt. She was a very loving and proud grandmother, which she also assisted in raising her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Although she had a life illness she always helped the family and kept them together.

Carolyn Roy was preceded in death by her Husband; Robert Terry Roy, Son, Michael Bernard Roy, Sis. Mary Ann Fisher, Sis. Ruby D. Harris, Sis. Jessica Maxine Jeffers, Bro Roy Lee Akin Jr.  She leaves to cherish her memories; Two Sons Bobby Charles Roy, Robert Earl Roy, one Daughter Queen Ester Roy, One Sister Shirley Ruth Baldwin, of Dallas, Texas and one Brother, Robert M. Davis of Texarkana, Texas, 3 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
