Charlene Toliver was born on February 9, 1954, during a “Parkland Error” Her legal birthday is January 9, 1954, she always stated that God birthed her twice LOL, to the parentage of Dorthey Jo Jordon and Essie Toliver, stepfather C.J. Jordon preceded her in death.
Charlene was common law married to Ray Spence. To this union three children were born: Leonard Dimmings of Houston, Kevin Dimmings (Denise), of Dallas; and Catherine Dimmings (Nico), also of Dallas.
She professed her faith in Christ and attended the Lighthouse Rescue Mission Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. Under the leadership of Pastor Warren D. Greene and First Lady Beverly Green.
Charlene was preceded in death by her two brothers, Clarence Rogers and David Dimmings, sisters Evelyn Pennington and Darella Williams.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory sisters Patricia McCullar (Micheal), and Dorthey Dickerson, three granddaughters, two great grandsons, special niece Barbara Jernigan, and special nephews David Demings, Albert Demings, Jason White, and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and, special cousin Evelyn Hull, Rudolf Demings and Beverly Jackson.
