Charles Boyd Sr.

Charles D. Boyd was born March 22, 1954 to the parents of James Joiner and Eloise Boyd. Charles accepted Christ at an early age, and was raised as a member of Love Chapel Church, which instilled Christian values which he continuously built upon throughout his life.
He graduated from L.G. Pinkston High School, Class of 1972. He then joined the United States Navy in 1974 as a Boatswains Mate, serving honorably for three years aboard the USS Rigel (AF-58).
Charles continuously built upon his relationship with God, as he could be expected by friends and family to be found at Bible Study, or visiting neighboring churches. Charles was recently accepted as a member at Jesus Ministries.
Charles was preceded in death by James Joiner (Father) and Henry Lee (Uncle).
He is survived by his mother, Eloise Joiner; his four children, Octavia Sims, Aisha Sims, Charles Boyd, Jr., and Chevis Boyd(Sheena). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and a host of family and friends who have built strong bonds with him throughout the years.
