Cherrie Lee Dockery was born in Falcon, Arkansas, to the parentage of John W. Dockery and Tennessee Snyder. At an early age, she joined New Hope Baptist Church in Falcon, Arkansas, where she gave her life to Christ. Cherie Lee Dockery later met and married Lonnie Hardiman, and to this great union eight children was born. She later move to Waldo, Arkansas, where she joined Fairview Church of God in Christ where she was filled with the Holy Ghost under leadership of Elder McDaniel. She was on the battlefield for the Lord for over 60 years.
After relocating to Dallas, she joined the Grace Chapel Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of the Bishop T.W. Johnson where she served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher, Missionary Board member and Hospitality President for many, many years. She later united with Saintsville Church of God and Christ under the leadership of Bishop J.N. Hayes. Missionary Hardiman loved to sing and continue her ministry as an active member of the 60-plus Choir and was the Assistant Vice President of the Missionary Board while at Saintville C.O.G.I.C. Missy Hardiman was all about helping and building up the Kingdon of God, which led her to move her place of worship one last time. Missy Hardiman joined Inspired House of Prayer Holiness Church under the leadership of Elder Grady Banks, Jr. where she went to work to help her daughter and son-in-law establish their church ans its many ministries. While there, Missy Hardiman served as a faithful member of the mothers Board and Sunday School Department until her health failed.
Her parents, husband, seven children, sibling and two great-grandchildren preceded her in death.
She leave to cherish her memory: daughters, Cherrie Lynn, Glenn Height, Texas; Sheila Banks (Grady), Balch Springs, Texas; son, Charlie Hardiman, Detroit, Michigan; thirty-five grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
