Obituary

 

Mrs. Cherry A. Bullard was born February 20,1934 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Edwin Thaddeus and Myrtle O Phifer Warrior. She attended Anderson Bonner Elementary School and Booker T Washington High School in Dallas, TX. 

She joined Christian Chapel Temple of Faith at the age of twelve (12). As a member she has taught Sunday School, a member of the Senior Choir and Women’s Chorus. She also served faithfully on the Stewardess Board and became a member Emeritus. She worked for Southwestern Bell, now AT&T, as a Senior Stenographer for twenty-seven years before retiring in September 1997. After that she became the Church and Quarterly Conference Secretary, under the pastorate/leadership of Dr. Jerome E McNeil. After the passing of Pastor McNeil, she continued to serve in this capacity under the pastorate/leadership of Pastor Kamau, then Pastor Vanessee Burns. She served a total of thirteen years before retiring from the church office. 

She met Willie T Bullard in 1950 and in March 1951, they were united in marriage. To this union, six children were born: two daughters Sandra Lynell and Debbie Cherri’, four sons Michael Adrian, Willie Alfred, Ronald Wayne and Roderick Anthony. 

She was preceded in death by both parents, brother Melvin Warrior, husband Wille T, sons Michael Adrian, Willie Alfred, and Ronald Wayne. 

She leaves to mourn her homegoing: daughters, Debbie C Hamilton (Wilford), Sandra L Bullard (Issaih), son, Roderick A Bullard. Seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren. Four sisters, Lanita Walton, Lois Newborn, Julia Edwards, and Carla Hoxie (Ferman). Her very close and dearest friend Osie Henderson. A host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
