Chester P. Thompson was born July 30, 1932 in Corsicana, Texas to the parents of E. D. and Effie Thompson. Both parents preceded him in death.
He accepted Christ at an early age in Corsicana. He later moved to Dallas, where he met and married Willie Mae Marshall. No children were born to this union however, he raised six children.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Renda Marshall Smith; one sister, Lillian Beaty; two granchildren, Mason Johnson and Prentice Marshall.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His loving and dedicated wird, Willie Mae Thompson; five children, R. D. Smith, Audrey Smith, Sheila Marshall, Linda Marshall, Larry Marshall; one sister, Vera Burns; 7 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
