Christine Griffin

December 30, 1945 — October 25, 2013

Christine Barbara Griffin was born to the late Lee Roy and Fannie Mae Griffin on December 30, 1945 in Dallas, Texas.

Christine was brought up as a Christian and she often enjoyed her summers in a small Texas town called Deberry. This time was spent with her many cousins and grandparents Johnny and Sara "Big Momma" Cooper who called Christine by the name Barbara Ann. She was the lead majorette at Madison High School and she also played the piccolo in the band. She earned both an academic and band scholarship. She chose the academic scholarship and attended Bishop College and majored in English Literature. She planned to be a teacher in school but Tim Jackson, her only son arrived her sophomore year. After taking care of her brothers and sisters like she was their mother, she began a career in marketing and sales and taking care of her only son. Christine spent the majority of her business career winning sales awards with Excel Communications. Christine's other time well spent was instilling the values and virtues in her son to become a Christian with high character, integrity, respect, generosity, perseverance, discipline and full of grace and love. She did it all with a smile that would touch anyone who came near it.

Christine felt the loss of her father and mother Lee Roy and Fannie Mae Griffin and her brother, Leon Griffin.

On October 25, 2013 at her residence in Dallas, Texas, she answered the Lord's call.

Her loving memories will forever be cherished by her son, Tim Jackson; grandson, Timas Jackson; brother and sisters, Tyree Griffin, Charlesetta Griffin and Sheila Perry; aunts, uncles; special friends, James Phillips, Gail Owens other relatives and friends.
