Crosby Adams, Sr. 85, passed away on July 14, 2020. He was born in Newton, Texas, on September 15, 1934, to the
late Wade Adams and Mary M. Adams. Crosby graduated from Newton High School in 1952.
He was a God-fearing man who always had a plan for everything. He seemed to know from the beginning, which
direction his life would go. He lived by the “Golden Rule”, he was always kind to strangers because he said you never
know who you’re entertaining. Every life he touched was changed for the better. He worked hard and played harder.
When he was younger, one of his favorite past times was fishing. Crosby was preceded in death by his parents; brothers,
Cleveland, Clinton and Odell Adams; and sister, Rosalee Hawthorne.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Alice F. Adams; four children: Crosby Adams, Jr. (Lashaun), Ferris
Adams (Rebecca), Craig Adams, Sr. and Sheila Smith; grandchildren: Dominique Smith, Allison Richardson
(Bryan), Deshaundra Adams, Crosby Adams III and Craig Adams, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Adrynn Ware and
Ayden Smith; his sister, Catherine Hilton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
