Dawnyalle Nelson

Dawnyalle Leneen Nelson (Nae) was a special gift from God. She was born on April 14, 1967 in Dallas, Texas to the parents of Walter and Joyce Sanders. Dawnyalle accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, under the late Pastor Hardin L. Ward, where she was a member of the Tony Inspirational Choir.

Dawnyalle attended Charles Rice and Julius Dorsey Elementary. For Junior High, she attended Pearl C. Anderson. She completed her academic journey at Lincoln High School and Humanities/Communications Magnet where she was a member of the Mighty Tiger Marching Band. Dawnyalle then went on to begin a career at Drive Financial, and later Citigroup.

Dawnyalle Leneen Nelson departed this life on June 11, 2023. She is preceded in death by her son Darian Nelson. She leaves to honor and cherish her memories: Her parents, Walter and Joyce Sanders; son, Corey Nelson; sisters, Nikki (Rodney) Brisco and Raquel Nelson; nieces Chelsea Nelson, and Haleigh Brisco; Grandchildren, Jordyn Nelson, Skylar Nelson, and Cori Nelson; and a host of family and friends.
