Denise Darcel Brown was born September 20, 1954, the oldest of the 3 daughters of father Rudolph Gordon,step-mother Janice Gordon (daughter Tammy Gordon), mother Marian Randle (daughters Denise Brown and Shevawn Gardener), step-father Percy Randle. Denise went home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 1, 2014. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Central High School,attended Drury College, Southwest Missouri State University, Eastfield Community College, Mesquite, TX, and Baylor University Dallas, Texas where she earned her Bachelor Of Science Degree in Nursing. She was also inducted to the Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing as a member of ETA GAMMA Baylor University Dallas, Texas. Denise and Fredd met one another in 1985 as they both worked at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas Texas. She also worked at Presbyterian Hospital, Coordinator/Manager of several Home Health Care companies, BlueCross Blue Shield and AIG.

Denise leaves and will be missed by her devoted husband Winfred ? Fredd ? Brown and their four children Richie Allen, Quisha Menyfield, Mia Allen and Shaun Brown-Campbell. Also, father Rudolph and wife Janice Gordon, step-father Percy Randle, sister Shevawn and husband Robert Gardener, niece Tia Shockley-Melton and nephew Bobby Shockley, sister Tammy Gordon, niece Angel Gordon and nephew Akile? Davis, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild,cousins and friends.In addition to her immediate family and nucleus of very close friends who she loved unconditionally, she will be missed by so many people whose lives she touched in her 59 years from former co-workers, business employees and acquaintances. Denise loved being around people, and was a very loving care provider and a friend to everyone she met especially the patients she cared for and co-workers she labored with and managed. Denise was passionate about a numerous of things, her most treasured was the love for her husband children and grandchildren and entertaining her family and friends, traveling abroad, loved to cook and loved cooking shows ?Favorite show ? CHOPPED ?. And most importantly being a Servant for the Lord as a faithful Choir member, coordinator and member of church orchestra, and working with the children?s choir for special events with the Music Ministry staff at First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park. Finally, the labor of love Denise and her husband Fredd were extremely grateful and honored to have been chosen to lead the First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park Family Ministry Auxiliary/Couples Bible Study where they learned so many things that a marriage should look like, how to raise children in a Godly manner and how to display God?s Kind Of Love to another: Phileo: Friendship, Agape: Commitment and Eros: Passion/Romance. Each of our lives was touched by one of these forms of love displayed by Denise. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
