Denise Renae Payne
Denise was born to Lloyd and Beaulah Mae Rosborough Anderson on July 4,1960 in Marshall, Texas. She was born a twin and had 11 siblings. She was baptized at an early age.
Denise was educated in the Dallas Independent School District, graduating from Wilmer Hutchins High School. She furthered her education at Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas. She was an Operator for the Dallas Independent School District for 32 years.
Denise was married to Anthony Payne on April 15, 1993 in Dallas, Texas. Together Denise and Anthony raised 4 children, Carlos Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Chris Johnson and Antionette Payne.
They were members of the Southern Hills Church of Christ, where they were active in Bible School Classes, Hospitality and Ladies Ministry.
Denise loved and worked hard in her roles as wife and mother while also providing service in the community. She believed in community outreach and participation and helping others. She was a past member of the Queen of Sheba Grand Chapter of Eastern Star ADA 269 of Texas.
Denise was very competitive. She loved coaching and playing ladies softball. She played in Dallas City Leagues as well as the Church League for many years.
Denise departed this earthly home on September 15, 2021. She was proceeded in death by her grandparents, parents Lloyd and Beaulah Mae Rosborough Anderson and her sister Lottie Mae Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Anthony Payne; sons, Carlos Johnson (Kristi), Chris Johnson, Courtney Johnson; daughter, Antionette Payne; siblings, Aaron Anderson (Kathy), Roger Anderson, Patrick Anderson (Etoria), Dennis Anderson (twin), Irene Bell, Elbert Anderson, Cynthia Dade, Delbra Williams, Patricia King (Sam) and Wanda Harper (James); 13 grandchildren, Tracy Johnson, De’Anthony Wright, Courtney Johnson, Jr., Courtesy Johnson, Cour’Zariya Johnson, Christen Johnson, Aubrey Williams, Taylor Williams, Nicole Payne, Cor’dia Williams, Trinity Johnson, Brooklyn Johnson, Damarion Johnson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
