Diane Brooks

Diane Oatman was born October 13, 1952, to her loving parents Andrew and Evelyn Oatman in Dallas, Texas. She attended school in Seagoville, Texas.

Diane was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, sister, and friend. Diane passed away peacefully on July 28, 2021, at the age of 68 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, surrounded by her children and grand/great-grandchildren who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest and honoring her request.

She accepted Christ and became a worshiper at Strong Arms COGIC, Pleasant Grove TX.  She worked at several nursing homes as a nurse aide because she loved taking care of others. She also shared her love by cooking and her specialty was sweet potato pies that everyone requested her to make on holidays. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Diane leaves to cherish her memory, her 4 children: Veronica Bell, Almeta Kidd and Shelinda Grey, David Oatman, a sister Linda Well, a brother Billy Well, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Evelyn Oatman, 2 sisters Barbara Oatman, Lola May Oatman, 2 brothers Andrew (Ronnie) Oatman. Jr and Carl Oatman.
