Diane Freeman

April 19, 1946 — May 9, 2016

Diane Freeman was born Diane Nickerson on April
19, 1946 to the fruitful union of the late Bud and
Gladys Nickerson in Dallas, Texas.
She was the fifth of seven children: three girls and
four boys. She was reared and educated at Booker
T Washington High School in Dallas, Texas. While in
Dallas, she met her husband Carl Freeman Jr. and
they entered into holy matrimony on September
15th, 1964. This union was blessed to produce two
girls.
Her immediate family affectionately knew Diane as
“Candy” or as their “Aunt Candy”. Not only was she
an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, friend, but
most importantly a “Virtuous Woman” of STRONG
Christian morals, values, and faith. She accepted
Christ and remained a faithful, willing worker of the
Kingdom at The Church of the Living God on Ewing
Street in Dallas, Texas.
On Monday, May 9, 2016, Diane was summoned from
labor to reward in glory. She was preceded in death
by her parents, Bud & Gladys Nickerson; her sister
Mary Agnes Nickerson, and two brothers Donnell
Nickerson and Billy Nickerson.
She will forever be loved and remembered by her
husband Carl Freeman Jr.; and her two daughters:
Vickie Cunigan and Sabrina Sharpe (soon to be Sabrina
Sanders); two son-in-laws: Joe Cunigan and Brian
Sanders; eight grandchildren: Kamila Teklegeorge,
Mikhail Teklegeorge, Gabriele Teklegeorge, Melvin
Cunigan Jr., Tiane (Precious) Freeman, Taylor
Freeman, AJ. Hopkins, Taylor Sanders, and two great
grand-daughters Kai Teklegeorge and Acire Cunigan.
Brothers: Floyd Dean Nickerson, Kelmer (Weezy)
Nickerson, and one sister Marilyn Warner; and a host
of nieces, nephews, others relatives, family members,
and friends.
