Mrs. Doris Marie Abercrumbia, daughter of the late Ozy and Augusta Cole Abercrumbia, was born January 18, 1928 in Jonesville, Harrison County, Texas.
At an early age, she united with Union Chapel Baptist Church of Waskom Texas. Later, she united with The Riverside Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas Texas where she served as secretary in the Lydia Circle.
Doris was very outgoing. She was fun to be around and would have the room filled with laughter.
Doris united in marriage to Zemerian Brooks, Sr. To this union, three children were born.
She later united in marriage with Albany Devers where she rejoins Union Chapel Baptist Church and served as Deaconess.
Mrs. Doris Devers departed this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Lifecare in Dallas, Texas.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons and one daughter: Rev. Zemerian Brooks, Jr (Diane)., Nathan Brooks and Vanessa Gail Brooks: one sister, Vera Parson, all residing of Dallas, Texas; several stepsisters; stepbrothers; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces: nephews, other relatives and friends.
