In Loving Memory

DOYLE “FATS~BIGGIE” EUGENE CLARK JR

 Sept 5, 1957 – Nov 17, 2024

Born to the late Doyle Eugene Clark Sr and Imogene Smith-Clark on Sept 5, 1957 in Dallas, Texas.

On Sunday morning Nov 17, 2024 Doyle Eugene Clark Jr was called home at the early age of 67. To know him was to love him as he was a character with a funny sense of humor. He grew up working on the family farm. He attended the local DISD Schools and was a proud Student of Roosevelt High School and later continued his education at Job Corp and took on the trade of Carpentry and Mechanics. He was known by many around the neighborhoods of Oak Cliff & South Dallas all of his life. He held a various number of jobs early in his youth and was a man of many talents. Doyle Eugene Clark Jr obtained his CDL at an early age and with this profession he drove 18 Wheelers till he decided on a Career change that led him to becoming a serial entrepreneur and washed 18-Wheelers for many more years. He then started to work at Farmers Market driving the forklift. The uphill in his life was when he reconnected with his daughter Katherine Clark in 2014 and then began to build a relationship with her. He was able to later meet his grandchildren and be part of their lives early on and spending time with them was a joy. Also teaching them to be tough was his shining point. He was a great cook back in the day and loved to EAT hints as to how he received the nickname of “FATS”. He cleaned up nicely and loved to dress. FISHING was a joy for him! He had a good heart and a giving spirit, but when he meant business he meant business, but was such a jokester you could never really tell. After the loss of his brothers Oddis E. Clark and soon after Anthony D. Clark he began to try to get his life together and was taken in to be cared for by his Nephew Oddis Whidby (Andrea ). His enjoyment was hanging out in South Dallas on what he called to be the “Corner” from SUN up to SUN down without a care in the world. He loved Coffee, Westerns, Heat of the Night and Law & Order and was a big Food Critique. He wanted to be closer to his family as his health began to fail him more and more.

He met Gloria Grant in his younger years of life back in 1992 and she had a beautiful daughter that he accepted as his own Shuntae Grant, but within this union they were blessed with 1 beautiful & loving daughter of their own Katherine A. Clark.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Grand-Parents, Theodis Clark, and Criss E. Clark. His 1 Step Daughter Shuntae Grant, 6 Aunt’s Theretha Fisher, Hollie Taylor, Trellis Anderson, Betty Smith-Clark, Annie Ruth Johnson & Eliza Strong. His 2 Uncles Odis Clark & Ernest F. Clark. 2 Sisters Deborah Ann Clark & Sharon Burns. 3 Brothers Robert Earl Clark, Oddis Earl Clark & Anthony DeWayne Clark, 1 Nephew Brendon E. Clark, 2 Nephews Brendon E. Clark & Lonnie Burns, 1 Niece Shayla Whidby, 2 Great Nieces Doriana Whidby & Dianna Whidby.
