Celebration of Life for Earl Randolph Biggins

Earl Randolph Biggins was born June 30, 1944 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the parentage of Earl “Jack” & Sarah Biggins. Randy, as he was so affectionately called, lived his younger years in Ferris, Texas and later moved to Dallas, Texas where he received his formal education.

Randy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962 and received a 4 year scholarship to Huston Tillotson University in Austin, Texas where he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. In his later years, he decided to move to Houston, Texas and began taking pre-med classes. One of his proudest moments and greatest achievements was being accepted into UT Southwestern Medical School, with a 4.0 GPA. His dream was to be a medical doctor and although he decided not to attend, his love for medicine and helping others couldn’t escape him. Phlebotomy was his occupation of choice, and he worked for Harris County hospitals until retirement. (Randy’s Version of Retirement, that is….)

Randy had a heart of gold, and no he wasn’t perfect, but his LOVE was. His love was: kind, gentle, pure and without malice. He didn’t just tell you he loved you, but he put action behind it. He instilled in us that no matter where he was or what he was doing; if we needed him, he would be there. In 2001 we needed him. He packed up and moved from Houston to Dallas to take care of his “Mother.” They had a bond that transcended time. He took EXCELLENT care of her until her passing, January 30, 2002. So, it’s not surprising to us that perhaps January 30, 2022 (20 years later) his mother saw that he needed rest and asked our Heavenly Father to transition him from labor to reward. F-A-M-I-L-Y was everything to Randy and he was everything to his family.

Left to cherish his memories: son’s: Tony Curtis (Dallas, TX.) and Kenneth Powlis (Carla) Memphis, TN. Granddaughter: Latosha Denmark (Garland, TX) Grandson: Kenneth Powlis, Jr. Great-Grandson’s: Zayveon Haley & Ali Elhallaq. Brother: Elvin M. Biggins (Los Angeles, CA) Sisters: Betty Lane, Gwen Jackson Crawford (Freddie), Yolander Thomas, Adrian Osin (Okinghabib) all of Dallas; Special Niece: Shalondria Galimore; Special Friends: Juanita Boyce & Sandra Evans (Houston, Tx.) and a host of relatives, and friends that have been touched by his love.
