Edward Lockett was born in Dallas, Texas to the late James and Josephine Lockett on April 27, 1952. He transitioned from this life on the morning of October 30, 2019 surrounded by family and unconditional love.
Edward received his formal education in Dallas, Texas and devoted more than 20 years of service to Bodycote where he retired in 2017. Edward lived his life to the fullest and left no stone unturn. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will always remember his humor and laughter, dedication to hard work, undeniable love for his family, and boundless love for his blues.
Following a job well done, Edward can join those who preceded him in death. His beloved son, Bruce Jones; Parents: James and Josephine Lockett; Brothers: Alvin, Leroy, Lonnie, Fred Lee, and Jerry Lockett; Sisters: Bobbie Woodard and Gloria Jean Cody. Special partner in life, Lillian Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memories; Sons: Edward Hall and Michael Cooper, Sisters: Pattie Lockett, Lou Lockett, and Helen Mitchell, Brothers: James Earl Lockett, Earnest Lockett, Lee Lockett, Joe Edward Lockett, and Billy Lockett; And a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
There are no words to express the void we feel as a family following such a tremendous loss of our beloved brother, father, uncle, and friend. We find solace in knowing that he is now free of pain and any suffering. His debts are paid and his reward of eternal peace has been rendered.
