Emerline Jones

Emerline (Erma) Jones was born March 18, 1933 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to the parentage of Otis and Daisy Wheeler. Both parents preceded her in death.

Erma united in holy matrimony to Joe Jones (deceased) on April 20, 1956.

Erma accepted Christ at an early age at Richmond Hill A.M.E. Church in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. As a young adult, she settled in Dallas, Texas and joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church (Dallas, Texas) under the guidance of the late Reverend Floyd D. Harris. Erma was a faithful member for many years, and she enjoyed traveling with the church, and in her late years she loved working with the Senior Mission until her health began to declined.

Erma was blessed with 4 children: Erma Jean Jones (Dallas, Texas), Diane Jones (Deceased), Joe Edward Jones (Deceased), Patricia Ann Snell (Deceased).

Those left to cherish precious memories include Erma's twin-sister, Amerline McGhee (Dallas, Texas); sisters, Florine Beasley, Jewel Whitehead (Kelley), Vera Manjane (all live in Dallas); sisters-in-law, Charlean Edmond (Rev.W.T. Edmond), Clara Sayles, Marine Young (all live in Dallas, Texas), and Betty Sublet (Garland, Texas); and numerous cousin, nieces, nephews and friends.
