Esther Todd

Esther J Todd was born on February 13. 1924 in Brenham Texas to Robert Phillip Johnson and Odelia Johnson. She received her education in Brenham, Texas. She moved to Brownwood, Texas for a short time before coming to Dallas. In Dallas, she met and married Lonnie Todd Sr. A marriage that lasted 59 years. To this union six children were born. Esther was a homemaker until her last child was school aged. She then went to work for Howard Wolf and later Neiman Marcus, from where she retired in 1989. In her retirement, she enjoyed reading, working puzzles, watching the Texas Rangers games, golf and football. However, her real passion was preparing delicious holiday meals for her large family. Family was the love of her life.

She had an overwhelming amount of love, compassion, generosity and wisdom. She always told the truth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lonnie Todd Sr, one daughter and a daughter-in-law, Gloria.

Those left to cherish her memory are her five children. Linda Sanders, Lonnie Todd, Jr (Judy), Betty Todd, Cynthia Todd McFarland (Johnnie), and Phillip Todd; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one sister Odelia Storey;  and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
