Etta Marie Houston was born on February 1, 1957, to parents, Mandy Davis and Welton Davis. She attended SOC High School in Dallas, Texas. Etta was employed by Curtis Mathis, Jordan Health Service and Park Highland. She was known as the neighborhood candy lady.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Victoria "Vicky" Davis; Shree Taylor , Michael Choice, and Herbert Choice.
Etta is survived by her children, Rodney Houston (Shundra) of Arlington, Texas, Reggie Basher (Jill) of Mansfield, Texas, and Shamanda Houston of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Aspen Houston, Sierra Houston, Asia Houston, Landan Padron, Jordan Basher and Kaidan Basher, great- grandchildren, Keeghan and Kaison Paul, aunties, Wallystene Brooks, Ruth Hazel Carter, Jessie Nell Massey and Janice Houston; special uncle, Richard Earl Roberts "Big Unc", sisters and brothers Valerie House of Cedar Hills, TX, Alpha Davis (Barbara) of Dallas, Texas, Lisa Houston of Athens, TX, Vivvian Wilson (Lorenzo) of Ovilla, Texas, Derrick Choice (Vanessa) of Tyler, and Shlendra Choice of Tyler; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives and friends..
