The first chapter of this book opened for George Earl Hearn, Sr. on April 30, 1943, when he was born to the late Reverend Sam Hearn and Martha J. Hearn, in Plainview, Texas. He received his formal education from Booker T. Washington High School, where he was an outstanding track and football star. He retired from Safeway and Richardson School District, and later did some security work until his health got worse.
The final chapter of this book closed for George E. Hearn, Sr. on Saturday, June 11, 2016.
He was preceded in death by two sons, George E. Hearn, Jr. and Vaughn Hearn.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Lora Busby and Lashonda Hearn; three sons, Darrell Hearn (Nicole), Dyrell Hearn (Pam), and Jerrell Donte Veasey, all of Dallas, Texas; 15 grandchildren;
28 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Hearn, Rhodie Steward and Arma Gentry; and a host of relatives and friends.
