George Nance Turner, Sr. was born April 23, 1938 to the parents of the late Wylie and Leona Turner. He was the tenth of thirteen children.
George grew up and attended school in Dallas, Texas and accepted Christ at a early age, where he united with St. Paul AME Church.
George met and married Selma R. Williams and to this union, five children were born.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Trenton & Tracy Turner; seven brothers Adolphus Turner, Robert T. Turner, Charles Turner, James Turner,Wylie Turner, Algernon Turner, Jessie Turner, two sisters Bernadine Fields and Albertine Wright.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Selma R. Turner, one daughter, Sidney (Perry) McKinley; two sons Travis( Nancy) Turner, George N. Turner, Jr.; two brothers Van Houston Turner, Roy (Gwen) Turner, one sister Linda Phillips, seven grandchildren, George N. Turner, III, Tierra Turner, Taylor Turner, Aiden Turner, Tracey Turner, Troy Turner,and Justin McKinley one special counsin, Larue Brown and a host of other Relatives and friends.
