Grant Byron Darden
January 14,1953 December 8, 2022
On January 14, 1953, a baby boy was born to LaVoy and Carrie Louise "Wilkerson" Darden in Corrigan, Texas. They named him Grant Byron Darden.
Grant attended his early years of school in Chester, Texas until their relocation to
Baytown due to his father's job. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School later attending Lee College before entering the workforce. He worked a number of years in Baytown before relocating to Little Elm.
He met and married Mary "Cindy" Warren on September 18, 2004. Cindy was a devoted daughter-in-law to his mother until her death in 2018. Cindy has been a loving and devoted wife, caring for her beloved Grant "her baby" as she called him, until his death. Grant is preceded in death by his parents LaVoy and Carrie Darden; his brother, LaVoy Darden,Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, "Cindy", a daughter, Felicia; sons, Tremmell (Nadia); Romani; Nathan and Darius; one brother, Elbert (Pamela); seven grandchildren, two nephews, two nieces, one aunt, five uncles and one special niece, (Pasha) Cook.
Grant was a strong believer in God and was very devoted to his belief and loved passing the word on to others. Whenever you talked with him, you were going to hear something about the word. He loved listening to Tony Evans and Dr. Charles Stanley. Absent from the body, present with the lord on December 8, 2022.
