Huey James was born November 18, 1931 to
the parentage of Namon and Ioda James in
Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended high school in
Benton, Louisiana.
Huey was the owner and operator of James and
Associates Construction and Remodeling Company
until he retired in the 90?s. He contracted jobs from
all around the country.
He married Willie Mae James in 1952. To this union,
two children were born, Janice and Jerry Wayne.
He later married Joan and adopted her two children,
Kelly and Tracy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister,
Rosie Hill.
He is survived by 1 brother, Namon James, Jr.
(Rosetta); 2 sisters, Mirtis Reed and Tempie Thomas;
children, Alma (Aleem), Janice (Jerry), Jerry, Eddie,
Renae, Kelly, Tracy, Avniel, and Angel (Damon); 12
grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; special niece
and caregiver, Gayle Axel and a host of other relatives and friends.
