Ira Dean Adams was born August 23, 1945 in Marshall, Texas to Wayne Curtis Roquemore and Betty Joe Adams. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, Gloria Ann.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was forever her foundation. There she received her education and religious training as a young woman. She met and married Delvy Walker and relocated to Dallas, Texas.
She worked at Shady-Side Nursing Home for ten years and Republic National Bank for twenty-five years before retiring.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one sister (Carolyn Jean), three daughters, (Sheri Walker, Jackie Walker, and Joy Walker), one son (Dale Walker), five grandchildren (Sheterric Walker, Kevin Deamon, Jr., Lakita Walker, Shaniqua Walker, and Delvon Walker), three great-grandchildren (Aniyah Miller, Amari Houston, and Na’riah Walker), all of Dallas, Texas. Special extended family including Zora “Cookie” Ephraim, Leon Cooper, Steve Ferguson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
