Irene J. Harris Bivins was born March 15, 1924 in Wilmer, TX to the late Hillard and Nettie Jones.
She confessed her hope in Jesus Christ at an early age and nurtured and raised her family in the faith of the Lord and His word. Being a pastor, Evangelist and the founder of the Harris Singers, Irene worked with many churches and ministries up through the years and continued to be a vessel for God even in her later years. Irene joined New Bible Way Family Church and was under the leadership of Pastor Howard E Falls and First Lady Pamela Falls. She was a dedicated mother of the church until God directed her heart to Bethlehem Pentecostal Holiness Church under the leadership of pastor Daisy Shipman, where she worked in building God's Kingdom and winning souls.
Irene was never a stranger to anyone. She opened up her heart, arms, home and table of blessed food to all. She gave of herself unselfishly with God's Love. Her proudest achievement in life was being a mother.
She is preceded in death by sisters, Pearlie B. Freeman, Mary J. Hornbuckle, Fannie Lee Glass; brothers, Milton Jones, Edward Mac Jones and Charlie Dixon.
Irene leaves to cherish her memories: TyDarius T. Henderson (her baby); daughter, Amanda M. Harris; brother, Robert Logan; nieces, Gail Ford, Darlene Henderson and her sons, Tyrone Henderson ad Ronnie Henderson; nephew, Charles Ray Irvin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
