James (Crazy Legs) Harrison was born June 18, 1931 in Tyler, TX. He was the third child born to the parentage of Orbin and Rose Ann Harrison.
He accepted Christ at an early age under the late Rev. Schley at Bethany Baptist Church of Dallas, TX.
He attended B.T. Washington High School and Lincoln University, where he was outstanding in football and track and field. James was inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame Class of 2002.
He is preceded in death by both parents, stepfather, Charlie Allen; brother, Arbin Harrison; and sister, Emma (Jackie) Harrison.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Wife, Gloria (Young) Harrison; 7 daughters, Joanne Sims, Marilyn Armstead (Don), Lisa Luster Lindsey (Frank), Jacquelyn Wills, June Cloyd (Keith), Janice DeMus (Gary), Carole Aibaenbee (Patrick); 12 grandchildren, Yolanda Catholic (Anthony), Kiah Daniels (Winston), Miah Sims, Lindsey Aibaengbee, Keith, Kristopher, Klinton, Kaleb, Kasey, Mendel Demus, Jaoshua, Christian Aibaengbee; and a very special friend, Dr. Fortran and a host of other relatives and friends.
