Mother Jessie Faye Lloyd
Jessie Faye Lloyd was born on August 27, 1913 to the parentage of
Thomas and Minnie Wilkins, who preceded her in death.
She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mount Zion Baptist Church in Hawkins, Texas.
She attended public school and Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas. She later moved to Dallas, Texas and became a member of the Golden Gate Baptist Church, where she remained until her homegoing. She served in the Mission Choir, the Sunshine Circle, a Silver Eagle Recipient. After moving to Dallas, she met and married James Earl Clay of which one son, James Earl Clay, Jr. was born to this union, of which both preceded her in death. She later married Lawrence Lloyd, Sr., who also preceded her in death along with four brothers, two sisters, and one stepson, William Lloyd.
She leaves to cherish her memories: A loving and devoted sister, Cladie M. Nelson; a grandson, Randle B. Clay, (Florida); a granddaughter, Virginia Ann Bolden; two great great grandchildren, Marquis Clay and Andrea Bolden; a stepdaughter, Mary Lloyd Ross (Larry) and stepsons, Lawrence Lloyd (Elizabeth) and Hollis Lloyd (Melva); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
