Jessie “Mae” Royal was born in Kosse, Texas on January 28, 1933 to Jesse B. and Idella Taylor. Jessie married Conal Way Royal Sr. in Hobbs, NM. She accepted Jesus Christ as savior and was a mighty woman of faith. She worked and retired after 35 years from La Siesta Nursing Center. She was a loving and caring woman that took pleasure in cooking, health & wellness, shopping, reading, as well as the care of her family.
She departed this life September 25, 2015 leaving to cherish her memory is her children; Joyce Taylor of Dallas, TX, Donald Taylor of Aurora, CO, Lawanda Jones (Lee) of Dallas, TX, Conal M. Royal of Commerce, TX, Conal Way Royal Jr. of Andrews, TX, Carolyn Hale (Jamie) of Balch Springs, TX, Rosie Royal of Houston, TX, and Latisha Royal of San Diego, CA; 5 sisters, Imogene Hill, Betty Hickman, Della Asaugbor, Earnestine Taylor, and Catherine Williams, 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and close friends.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Idella Taylor, her husband, Conal Way Royal Sr., daughter Mary Taylor, granddaughter Antoinette Minner, and siblings Ruby Banks, Robert Taylor, Sadie Newsome, and Bobbie Pitts.
