An angel, Jewel Wheeler, was released from Heaven on December 9, 1930 to the parentage of the late Marshall and Emma Lynn. As a little girl, Jewel was raised in Marshall, TX up until her teenage years. She and her parents moved to the city of Dallas, TX and from there is where her life soared as a Dove. Her education was only to Middle school but she gained her knowledge and wisdom from many life experiences and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ whom she accepted at an early age. She loved the Lord with all her heart and always had a praise song within her soul. She always loved to read her bible and sing old spiritual hymns.
God blessed her with many gifts and talents, one special gift was serving others through her passion of cooking which she utilized at several places she was employed; her first job was at Love Field Airport for 4 years as a Porter, she then moved to Houston and worked as a cook for Jemeal Stake house for 8 years, the remaining time she worked was in the corporate world for 12 years as a Maid then retired as a stay home mom. Jewel, also known as Mama Jewel was a woman of countess, a go getter, one of integrity and dignity. She had a deep caring and loving spirit. She would give a person the clothes of her back, would give her last. Most of all she loved her family. Everyone and anyone who ever knew her respected her and definitely couldn't help but to adore her. She exemplified the love of Christ, "Agape Love."
On December 8, 2014 at 1:06 pm, Mama Jewel answered to the voice of her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, "my precious child, come on home and rest in me and that she did, peacefully." She was preceded in death by her parents, three children, and five siblings. Those whom she leaves to cherish her precious memories are; her five sons Charles Wheeler, Jackie Wheeler, Isreal Wheeler (Tangela), Marshal Wheeler, Ruben Bond, and Vernon Wheeler (Pearl) and two daughters Michelle Alexander and Grace Bond Milton, and twenty-five grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
