Life Reflections
Jewelene Smith was born onto parentage of the late R.D. and Curtis Harris on November 21, 1937, and was the 5th of 5 siblings.
She received her formal education at Pilot Point Independent School District, and relocated to Plano, TX. where she met and married Clarence Dunbar. To that union she had 7 children. She later relocated to Dallas, where she was employed with the Dallas Independent School District for 30 + years until retirement. She met and married Jonnie Smith. Together they had 6 children and nurtured 2 additional children from her marriages.
Jewelene Smith confessed Christ at an early age and was a member at her passing of Ebenezer Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, under the pasturage of Rev. A.D. Smith.
Jewelene Smith was preceded in death by (Parent) Curtis and R.D. Harris, (Husband) Johnnie Smith, (Son) Craig Harris, (Daughters) Gladis Marrie Harris and Veronica Johnson.
Those left to cherish memories of Jewelene are her siblings, Andrew (Anita) Harris, Diane Harris, Gregory Harris, and Micheal (Yeal) Harris. Her children: Wesley Eugene (Rose) Harris, Clarence Ray (Rhonda) Dunbar, Stanley Dunbar Madison, Shelia (Needom) Martin and Loretta (Frank) Dunbar.
Jewelene loved and nurtured 22 grandchildren. Three generations of great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
