Jimmie Anderson

On July 4th 1940, Jimmie Ray Anderson was born to the parentage of Elijah Anderson Sr. and Lacey Anderson in Benton, Louisiana. He attended school in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. Jimmie accepted Christ at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. E. Galloway. Jimmie moved to Dallas, Texas. He united in marriage to Viney Finn for 55 years. To this union, 4 children were born. He was employed by Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He later joined Church on the Rock Deliverance, under the leadership of Benny Finn.
He served as president of the usher board for 10 years. In 2004, he united with Antioch Fellowship Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his health failed. As the Lord would have it, on Thursday, September 28, 2017, Mr. Jimmie Ray Anderson, a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to all, went home to be with the Lord.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Anderson.
Those left to cherish his precious memories are: His loving wife, Viney; daughters, Glenda, Jeanette and Kisha; grandchildren, LaDonna (Chelle) Vernard, Amber, Deslyn, Christal, Lindsey Jr., and JaTyreon, great grandchildren, Vernard Jr., and Madison; sisters, Martha Pearson and Hannah Hall; brothers, Andy Anderson (Juliet), Johnny Gay Anderson (Mary Alice), and Jimmie Lee Anderson (Dorris); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
