Mrs. Johnnie Marie Drawhorn was born on November 18,1938 to the parentage of M.A. Jeff and Francis Pierce in Hearne, Texas, who both preceded her in death. Her husband James O. Drawhorn Jr., one brother Delbert Smith, one daughter Vernita Adams, one son Edward Ray White and one stepdaughter Millette Pruitt also preceded her in death.

She received her education in the Dallas Independent School District.

At an early age, she united with Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. A. A. McKnight as pastor. Later, she united with Ebenezer Memorial Missionary Baptist Church as a charter member under the leadership of Rev. A.D. Smith. She was a faithful deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, Mission President, Choir Member and she worked in the Finance Department.

She married Ray White and to this union was born 4 children. She later married James O. Drawhorn Jr. and to the marriage no children was born.

She leaves to cherish her memories sons: Shaun (Denise) Milton, Delbert (Adrian) White, both of Dallas, Texas; Kenneth (Shantina) White of Killeen, Texas. Three stepchildren: James Drawhorn III, Alicia Brown and Keith Drawhorn of Dallas, Texas; one sister: Hortense Briges of Florida; one special niece and caregiver Sonia Jones; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
