Johnny Lloyd Walker, Jr. was born on February 9, 1949 to the parentage of John Lloyd Walker and Virgil Douglas Walker in Chicago, Illinois. He attended George Washington Carver Elementary and upper school and Garland High School his senior year. He worked at Dearborn and Goodwill Industries until he was no longer able to because of health issues.
Johnny is preceded in death by both parents, John Walker and Virgil Willis; stepfater, Jim Willis, Jr.; brother, Larry Douglas Walker; both sets of grandparents, Reverend Virgil and Hazel Douglas, Mr. Culberson and Zelma Walker and special uncle, Joe Frank Douglas.
Johnny never married but leaves behind to cherish his memory: siblings, Josie Walker Murphy (Elwood), Edward Charles Walker, Hazel Jeanette Gaines and Christopher James Willis; aunts, Ruby Jewel Hill, Josephine Walker, Evelyn Deans; uncles, Eugene Douglas, Lawton, Oklahoma and Elder Howard Douglas; niece, Ashley Walker Murphy; nephews, Da'Lon Willis and Marcus Willis; lots of cousins; two great nieces and three great nephews.
Visitation 12-6pm Friday, May 18, 2012 at Lincoln Funeral Home.
