Joyce ‘Faye’ Taylor was born in Marlin, Texas on November 28, 1949 to Jesse B. Coleman and Jessie M. Royal. She accepted Jesus Christ as savior at an early age and was a faithful member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. She worked for Republic Group Insurance (AmTrust) for 42 years. Joyce was the matriarch of her family; she was loving, caring, BOSSY, direct, and knew what she wanted and when she wanted it. Joyce was a woman of independence who took pleasure in shopping, traveling, and making memories with family and friends.
She departed this life October 13, 2017 leaving to cherish her memory; Willie M. Hardeman of Dallas, TX, Rev. Darrel Robinson of Beaumont, TX, Donald Taylor of Aurora, CO, Lawanda Jones (Lee) of Dallas, TX, Conal M. Royal of Rosenberg, TX, Conal Way Royal Jr. of Andrews, TX, Carolyn Hale (Jamie) of Balch Springs, TX, Rosie Royal of Houston, TX, and Latisha Royal of Mesquite, TX and 22 nieces and nephews and 26 great nieces and nephews, as well as a host of relatives and close friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse B. Coleman and Jessie M. Royal, her step father, Conal W. Royal Sr., her sisters, Mary Taylor and Evelyn ‘Jackie’ Cross, and niece Antoinette Minner.
