L.E. Smith Jr. (Larry) was the oldest child of L.E. Smith Sr. and Christine High born June 24, 1951, in Lisbon, Louisiana. He grew up in Dallas, Texas and attend Lincoln High School.
Mr. Smith was Baptist under the leadership of R.C. McNeal at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church. He later united with Greater Sunrise Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Louis A. Paige. Larry was a loving family man who loved sports and most of all shooting pool, which was his heart. He enjoyed having fun with his family and friends.
Mr. Smith was a supervisor at Borden Milk Company from where he later retired. Larry met and married high school sweetheart, Debra Cooper, and their union one son Craig Smith.
Those remaining to cherish his Larry's memories are his mother, Christine High; and sister, Earnestine Jackson (Clarence), both of Dallas, Texas; six children, Craig Smith, Tyrone Baker, Felecia Bivins, Bonnie Heath, Michael Ward (Sicilee), Larry Earl Sanders; thirteen grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; special cousins, Jeanette, Evelyn and Kenneth; as well as a host of relatives and friends.
