Leon Jones

Mr. Leon Jones was born January 29, 1950 to the parents of Elmer Jones and Drucilla Birdow of Palestine, Texas. Both parents preceded him in death as well as his twin brother Louis Jones, two half sister’s preceded him in death. A loving wife Margaret Jones preceded him in death January 13, 2013 and youngest son Timothy Leon Jones June 24, 1995 both of Dallas, Texas.

He was also baptized at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church at an early age.

God called Mr. Leon Jones home September 4, 2021. “ Well done, good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21

Mr. Jones attended Palestine Public schools. There after he attended Mountain View College taking courses. Employee to Smith Security Service for 14 years and Senior Source. Brother Jones was no stranger to the ethics of work whether it was for the church, the elderly, or his family. It was not unusual for him to handle more than one job at any given time.

Leon Jones leaves to cherish his memories: Sister Katie Hodges, Brother-in-law Ira Hodges both of Dallas, Texas; Sister Lois Thomas of Palestine, Texas; Brother Calvin Jones of Dallas, Texas, Son Samuel E. Grenz of Dallas, Texas; Daughter Jennifer S. Grenz Dallas, Texas; 7 grandchildren, and 9 greatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, and nephews.
