Lola Johnson

Life Reflections –

Lola Bell Johnson was born on November 29, 1946 in Longview, Texas, the third oldest of eight children to the late Arthur and Bessie Taylor. She departed this life on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the age of 72.

She married Rochester Johnson. Although she never had any children, she was mother to a host of nieces and nephews.

Lola attended Weldon High School for the first three years. As a senior she attended White Oak High School due to the segregation of the school system at that time. She graduated in 1966.

She worked in Real Estate early in her career but eventually was employed by the United States Postal Service, where she retired in 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Bessie Taylor, sister Mae Pearl Collier, Altha McMillan, Rodessa Taylor, and brother Arthur Lee Taylor Jr.

Leaving to cherish her memories are: 3 sisters, Peggy Patterson, Ann Taylor Moten (Evant), and Brenda Pierce; and a host of special nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and close friends.
